Dodge City - Terry Lee Holcomb, 66, died May 15, 2012 at his home, in Dodge City. He was born on November 20, 1945 at Burlington, IA the son of Delbert and Erma (Rice) Holcomb.

He married Shelia Petrowsky on November 1, 1969 in Bucklin, she survives. He worked as a welder for Speedking for many years. Mr. Holcomb enjoyed going to the movies, shooting pool, playing dominos, riding motorcycles and any outdoor activities in his spare time. He was a avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He was a member of the Howard Gotschall Post #1714 VFW of Dodge City.

He is survived by his wife Shelia of the home; two sons Cody Holcomb and fiance Cheryl Sanchez of Dodge City; Travis Holcomb of Alberquque, New Mexico; mother Erma Holcomb of Liberal; two sisters Pamela Flores and husband Gary of Liberal; Marsha Jensen and husband Joe of Garden City, MO. He is also survived by four grandchildren Rileigh, Ayden, and Elyse Holcomb and Christian Sanchez, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.

Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Cremation will take place following the funeral service. A private inurnment with full military rites by Howard Gotschall Post #1714 VFW will take place at a later date. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Sunday, May 20, 2012 from 12:00 to 6:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to Terry Holcomb Grandchildren Educational Fund in care of the funeral home.
