IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Terry Jo
Koehn
January 31, 1966 – September 28, 2020
Montezuma - Terry Jo Koehn, 54, passed away September 28, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 31, 1966 in Dodge City, the daughter of David L. and Peggy (Zink) Loucks.
Terry spent her childhood in Copeland. She was a graduate of Copeland High School, class of 1984. Terry went on to further her education at St. Mary of the Plains College in Dodge City where she took a variety of business classes. On December 31, 1992, Terry was united in marriage to Reed Koehn. They made their home on a farm just west of Montezuma. Terry worked as an office manager for Montezuma Feeders before pursuing a career in providing accounting and payroll for those with disabilities receiving home health care and started her own business, Payroll Plus in 2000.
Terry was a creative person, always having at least one craft or project in the works. She enjoyed home improvements and decorating, making jewelry and stained glass projects. There was no project too big for her or that she couldn't and didn't learn to do. Her family was the light of her life. Her marriage to Reed was full and Christ-centered and brought out the very best in Reed and their children. She enjoyed following her kids activities and spending time with her grandchildren. Terry's love for God shined throughout her life. She was a friend and mentor for many young women in the community and is known for ability to inspire, influence and encourage others.
She was a member of the Copeland Christian Church. Her faith and relationship with Christ was a cornerstone of every relationship and activity in her life. Loved ones share that when talking to Terry all things eventually point toward Christ.
Terry is survived by her husband, Reed of Montezuma; three children, Amber Bullard and husband Rick of San Antonio, Texas, Mac Loucks and wife Ashley of Abilene; and Elijah Koehn of Montezuma; her parents, David L. and Peggy Loucks, 50 year residents of Copeland, Kansas and are now in Apache Junction, Arizona; two sisters, Karen Bunnell and husband Rocky of Wamego and Patricia Walters and husband Brian of Garden City; five grandchildren, Seth and Madison Bullard and Jace, Dodge, and Taylor Loucks; numerous nieces and nephews as well as many other family and friends.
