Obituary

Cimarron - Terry Ray Nolan, 79, died March 29, 2025 at Newton Medical Center in Newton, Kansas.  He was born on December 6, 1945 at Dodge City, Kansas the son of Willard and Arvilla (Courbot) Nolan.

He married Sharon Phipps on March 1, 1964 in Cimarron, Kansas, she survives. Mr. Nolan enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles in his spare time. He was a farmer and rancher and also owned T&S Trucking Company of Cimarron. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was a member of the Cimarron Methodist Church and the NRA.

He is survived by his wife Sharon of the home; two daughters Shonda Nolan of Caldwell, Kansas; Pamela Gleason and husband Trampas of Wellington, Kansas; three grandchildren Taylor Collazo and husband Calvin, Megan Whaley and husband Devan, Nicholas Claar, and four great grandchildren Tayvin Collazo, Cruz Collazo, Briggs Collazo and Millie Collazo. He is also survived by one sister Grace Ann Robertson and husband Leo of Cimarron, Kansas and a special cousin Gene Benton of Perth, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law Mistie Wilson.

Memorial service will be held at Cimarron Methodist Church on Saturday April 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Kevin Reed presiding. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to Cimarron Methodist Church or Wounded Warrior Project in care of the funeral home. Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
