Terry Lee Peters, 60, died Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Creighton University Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska. He was born on December 25, 1948 at Dodge City the son of Nathan and Betty (Bolmer) Peters.

Terry was born and raised in Dodge City and attended Dodge City Public Schools. He was in the restaurant business most of his life and most recently was the head cook at Peppercorn's in Dodge City. Terry loved being around his family and friends.

He is survived by his brother, Frank Peters and wife Pam of Dodge City and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Greg Savage presiding. Burial will follow at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery at Ft. Dodge with military rites by Howard Gotschall Post #1714 V.F.W. Memorials can be made to Terry Peters Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
