February 2, 1953 – March 12, 2022
INGALLS - Thomas (Tom) Lee Milne, of Ingalls, went to be with the Lord on March 12, 2022. He was born February 2, 1953 in Sabetha, the son of Robert Lee and Bonnie Jean (King) Milne.
He was raised and graduated from high school in Hiawatha. After High School, he and several close friends joined a wheat harvesting crew that traveled to many States.
He met and later married Debra Greiving in Kiowa in 1972. They later moved to Ingalls, where they raised their three children, Tammi (Milne) Woods of Cimarron, Thomas Lee Milne Jr. of Dalhart, Texas and Amanda (Milne) Benton of Cimarron.
Married for 49 years, Tom and Debbi's family grew to include two more Sons (in-law), Dusty Woods and Jeff Benton. From those additions came 9 grandchildren which include Levi Lacy of Kansas City, Missouri, Chantel (Lacy) Hake of Concordia, and their spouses Kevin Edmonsond and Brentin Hake; Wyatt Woods, Cheyenne Benton, Connor Benton, Colin Benton and Carissa Benton all of Cimarron.
Tom was first involved in farming and then started trucking, hauling ground hay, first for Dwyre Grinding and later Tim Dewey hay and cattle. Tom always enjoyed hunting and fishing, sports, gardening, country music, muscle cars and playing games (especially cards) with friends and family.
Tom was known for his contagious smile and considered everyone he met a good friend. He was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and eventually entered the Shepherd Center in Cimarron, where he lived for many years making a wonderful second family of both residents and staff.
He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife Debbi; a brother, Jeff Milne of Holcomb and his children and grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at Cimarron Nazarene Church on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 10:00 AM with Tom Boese presiding. Burial will follow at Cimarron Cemetery. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Cimarron on Friday, March 18, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM with the family present from 5-7 PM.
