Sublette - Tony Tyrone Torson, 76, died March 26, 2018 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.  He was born on April 22, 1941 in Alamosa, Colorado the son of Vernon  and Mary Alice (Teeters) Torson.

His family moved to Dighton when he was an infant.  Tony attended school there. He married Rose Marie Pfenninger on December 27, 1958.  She survives.  They spent most their married life in Sublette and raised three children.  Tony worked for Collingwood Grain/ADM for 32 years.  He was a hard worker, often helping out friends when they needed something.  Tony enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Tony is survived by his wife Rose of the home; two children, Terry Torson and wife Becky of Marietta, Georgia and Jeanine Biera and husband Josh of Garden City; two brothers, Rick Torson and wife Sue of Dighton and Vic Torson and wife Crysta of Crookston, Nebraska; two sisters, Beverly Bockelman and husband Lester and Melva Barnett and husband Steven all of Dighton; six grandchildren, Philip Torson and wife Michelle, Taylor Torson, Shanya Torson, Lincoln Biera, JaKayla Torson, and Tylee Biera; and two great grandchildren, Zaiden Torson and Madison Torson.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Torson and Mary Alice Torson McGillvary; his son Jerry Torson; three brothers, Vernon, Jr., Bill, and Martin Torson; and two sisters, Dixie Millirons and Mary Jane Travis.

Funeral service will be held at Sublette Christian Church on Friday March 30, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Brandon Mildren  presiding.  Burial will follow at Haskell County Cemetery, Sublette.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Sublette on Thursday March 29, 2018 from noon to 8:00 PM with the family receiving friends from 5-7PM.  Memorials are suggested to the Sublette Christian Church or the Pride of Life  in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
