Twila Miller, 98, died December 26, 2018 at Trinity Manor in Dodge City.  She was born on January 22, 1920 in Menlo, the daughter of Clifford and Hazel (Middleton) Liester.

Twila was raised in Menlo where she attended school.  On October 4, 1941, Twila was united in marriage to Verle Miller.  He preceded her in death.  Twila worked at Colby Cleaners for 28 years.  Later, she worked at the Hoxie Hospital, fully retiring in 1981. Twila was an accomplished seamstist.  She made many wedding dresses, often just having a picture to go by.  Twila also enjoyed dancing.  She and Verle were still dancing and winning trophies well into their 80's.

She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Club in Colby and the Sunflower Polka Club.

Twila is survived by two daughters, Karol Havel of Benkelman, Nebraska and Barb Naasz and husband Lee of Spearville; two sons, Verle Miller, Jr. and wife Barb of Hays and Donald Miller and wife Ruth of Dighton; a son-in-law, Darrell Combs of Garden City; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Verle; daughter, Sandra Combs; son, John Miller; son-in-law, Edward Havel; granddaughter, Kimberly Ann Miller; a grandson, Marvin Miller; a great grandson, Travis Havel; two sisters, Fern Fox and Laura Wolf; and two brothers, Chester and Leland Liester.

A private family service will be at a later date.  There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.  Memorials are suggested to Trinity Manor in care of Swaim Funeral Chapel, Dodge City.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
