Obituary
Dodge City - Valentin Acosta-Trujillo, 86, died January 8, 2015 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City. He was born on November 14, 1928 at Zacatecas,Mexico,the son of Juan Acosta-Sanchez and Maria Trujillo.
He came to Dodge City in 1995 from Zacatecas, Mexico, where he was a farmer and stockman.
He was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Teresa( Flores) Acosta, Zacatecas, Mexico; sons, Hector Acosta and Alberto Acosta both of Dodge City, daughters, Armandina Gonzalez,and Aleida Del Real, both of Dodge City, Eva Veronica Acosta, Zacatecas, Mexico, and twenty four grandchildren.
Vigil services will be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City, on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Terrance Klein, presiding, followed immediately by the funeral mass. Burial will be later at Old Cemetery in Monte Escobedo, Zacatecas, Mexico. Visitation will be on Monday, January 12, 2015 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City. Memorials are suggested to Valentin Acosta-Trujillo Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home. Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
