DODGE CITY - Cynthia Veronica Martinez, 46, died November 9, 2020 at her home in Dodge City.  She was born on January 12, 1974 in Lerdo, Durango, Mexico, the daughter of Jorge Villagrana and Hortencia Macias.

Veronica grew up in Mexico and came to the United States in her early 20's.  On December 31, 1998, she married Vincent Martinez.  Veronica worked at the First Christian Church in the daycare and was currently working as a boxer at Cargill in Dodge City.  She enjoyed listening to music and as loud as possible. Veronica loved spending time with her family and was full of life.

She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City.

Veronica is survived by her husband, Vincent of Dodge City; a son, Daniel Martinez of Dodge City; a daughter, Cindy Martinez of Dodge City; her mother, Hortencia Macias; three brothers, Jorge Villagrana of Dodge City, Gerardo Villagrana of Dodge City, and Caesar Villagrana of Dodge City.  She is preceded in death by her father.

Vigil Service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Dodge City on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 7:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be held at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Wesley Schawe presiding.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Dodge City on Thursday, November 12, 2020 from noon to 7:00 PM.  The family requests those attending the visitation, vigil, or mass to please wear a mask.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.

A Veronica le sobreviven su esposo, Vincent de Dodge City;  un hijo, Daniel Martinez de Dodge City;  una hija, Cindy Martinez de Dodge City;  su madre, Hortencia Macías;  tres hermanos, Jorge Villagrana de Dodge City, Gerardo Villagrana de Dodge City y Caesar Villagrana de Dodge City.  Le antecede en la muerte su padre.

El servicio de vigilia se llevará a cabo en Swaim Funeral Chapel, Dodge City el jueves 12 de noviembre de 2020 a las 7:00 p.m.  La misa fúnebre se llevará a cabo en la Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, Dodge City el viernes 13 de noviembre de 2020 a las 10:00 a.m. con el Rev.
