Virginia Brown, 86, passed away on May 21, 2026, in Wichita, KS. Virginia Brown was born on April 16, 1940 in Kinsley, KS, to Leo and Esther (Westfall) Stach.

She married Hearshel Brown on October 2, 1960 at the Lutheran Church in Kinsley, Kansas. Virginia worked at Southwestern Bell telephone company for 31 years. She enjoyed gardening and traveling the world with her beloved husband. She loved animals and adopted many dogs throughout the years. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and was very involved. She taught Sunday school, served as an Altar Guild, and helped with custodial duties at the church.

Virginia is survived by her loving husband, Hearshel Brown of the home; as well as one sister, Linda Adams (Ray) of Ensign. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Neva Jo and Charlene "Carol".

The Memorial Service for Virginia Brown will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Dodge City at 1:30PM with Rev. Nathan Neugebauer presiding. Burial will follow at Ft. Dodge Veterans' Cemetery. There will be no visitation as cremation will take place. Memorial donations can be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church in memory of Virginia in care of the funeral home.
