Virginia B. Page, 97, of Overbrook, passed away on January 20, 2025, at Brookside Retirement Community of Overbrook. She was born on June 24, 1927 at Arkansas City the daughter of O.M. and Mary Victoria (Ball) Barton.

Virginia moved with her family to Dodge City when she was three years old and graduated from Dodge City High School in 1945. She then attended Dodge City Community College. On April 16, 1946 she married Walter J. Page, Jr. in Dodge City, he preceded her in death.

She worked for Dodge City Abstract and Investment Co, Dodge City Title and Ford County Title as an abstractor. Virginia retired in June of 1992 but continued part time until 2008. She and Walter moved to the Kansas Soldiers Home in October of 2001. She enjoyed reading, singing and loved music and was very active at the Soldiers Home especially the Ft. Dodge Chapel.

Virginia was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dodge City where she sang in the Choir and later the Kansas Soldiers Home Chapel at Ft. Dodge.

She is survived by her son, Kenton E. Page of Gladstone, Missouri; three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Walter Page, Jr, her daughter, Sherry Lynn Pena, three brothers, O.J. Barton, C.E. Barton, and Glen Barton; and a sister, Melba Komarek.

Graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery, Ft. Dodge on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
