Dodge City - Vivian V. Clinton, 95, died July 23, 2016 at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City. She was born on January 28, 1921 at Hutchinson, Kansas the daughter of Charles and Nettie(Nickels) Clinton.
Ms. Clinton received her teaching degree from Emporia State University, and was a teacher at the Dodge City Junior High School for over 40 years before retiring. She was a avid sports fan and also enjoyed reading in her spare time. She was well known for her drawing and leatherwork talent.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dodge City.
Survivors include her sister Virginia Pennington of Dodge City and a cousin Harriett Frazey Ranney of Philadelphia, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents one niece Beverly Pennington and one nephew Jeff Pennington.
Graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Hutchinson, Kansas on Thursday July 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jerre Nolte presiding. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 12:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to The First United Methodist Church or Ford County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
