Wilbur "Jimmy" Beryl Noon, 79, died July 7, 2011 at Halsey Hall in Fort Dodge. He was born on August 7, 1931 at Mt. Carmel the son of Raymond W. and Melba E. (Norton) Noon.
Mr. Noon graduated from Cawker City High School. He then served in he U.S. Army. Jimmy worked for the City of Helena, Montana in the sanitation department for 35 years. In April of 2009 he moved to Hays and in 2010 he moved to the Kansas Soldier's Home at Fort Dodge.
Mr. Noon is survived by one son, Wilbur B. Noon, Jr. of Minneapolis; three daughters, Ruth Patterson of Hays, Wilma Lea Barnes of Des Moines, IA and Doris Millie Noon of Helena, MT; and eight grandchildren. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Russell Leon Noon; one brother, Charles Noon; and one sister, Charlotte Pearson.
Graveside memorial service will be held at Prairie Grove Cemetery in Cawker City on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 10:30 AM. There will be no public visitation as cremation has taken place.
