Cimarron - Wilford "Biff" Dean Woods, 85, died June 19, 2017 at his home near Kalvesta.  He was born on May 20, 1932 at Kalvesta, the son of Rufus and Ruby (Friedland) Woods.

Wilford joined the US Army in 1951 and was stationed in Berlin, Germany.  He spent his entire life in the Kalvesta area where he was a farmer and stockman.  On July 27, 1962 he married Shirley Crouse at Jetmore.

He was a member of the Kalvesta United Methodist Church.

Wilford is survived by his wife, Shirley Woods, of the home; son, Leslie Woods and wife Janet of Kalvesta; daughter, Tina Noll of Dodge City; three grandchildren, Joseph Woods and wife Kirsten, Brandon Woods, and Heather Noll; seven great grandchildren, Jeneivive Woods, Wilford Woods, John Woods, Braden Koerner, Jace, Jackson and Axel Harris. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Virgil, Gerald, and Leonard Woods, and sister, Vivian Bridgewater.

Funeral service will be held at Cimarron United Methodist Church on Thursday June 22, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Mike Keating presiding.  Burial will follow at Cimarron Cemetery in Cimarron.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel of Cimarron on Wednesday June 21, 2017 from Noon to 8:00 PM.  Memorials are suggested to the Kalvesta United Methodist Church or Hospice of the Prairie both in care of the funeral home.
