Plains - William "Bill" Berg, 67, died January 8, 2014 as the result of an automobile accident near Crestview, Florida. He was born on April 30, 1946 in Mexico, the son of Bernard and Justina (Sawazchky) Berg.

On July 13, 1969 Bill married Elena Penner in Mexico. She survives. Bill was a truck driver for most of his life. He enjoyed racing and playing games with his family.

Bill is survived by his wife Elena of the home, two sons, Benny Berg and wife Anna of Alberta, Canada and Johnny Berg and wife Maria of Sublette; two daughters, Agnes Peters and husband Abe of Sublette and Christina Redekop and husband Johnny of Mexico; 12 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers; and three sisters. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters.

Funeral service will be held at Gospel Mennonite Church in Sublette on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 10:00 with Pastor George Penner presiding. Burial will follow at Haskell County Cemetery in Sublette. There will be no visitation.
