Dodge City - Wilma B. Dodson, 99, died March 25, 2023 at her home in Dodge City. She was born on February 17, 1924 at Bucklin, Kansas the daughter of Paul Smith and Iva (Meyer) Smith.

She loved cooking, canning, bowling and spending time with her family in her spare time. Mrs. Dodson loved raising and harvesting the vegetables that she grew in her garden. She also had a great talent of raising beautiful flowers in her garden as well.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Howard Gotschall V.F.W. Post #1714 and several bowling leagues all of Dodge City.

She is survived by two daughters Jackie Torrez of Dodge City; Barbara Wallace of Parsons, Kansas as well as several grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters Sandy Amaro, Patty Martinez; one son Billy Eugene Dodson.  She is also preceded by one sister Juanita Smith and two brothers George Smith and Joe Smith.

Memorial Graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery on Friday April  14, 2023 at 1:00 PM with Mr. Jeff  Hiers presiding. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
