Dodge City - Wilma F. Robinson, 94, died July 19, 2018 at Sun Porch Nursing Home in Dodge City.  She was born on April 15, 1924 in Ness City, the daughter of John Robert and Essie (Bessie) Lenora (Fleming) Watson.

Wilma grew up in Ness City and graduated from Ness City High School.  She then attended the University of Kansas where she studied music.  Wilma later attended Dodge City Community College and St. Mary's of the Plains.  On April 6, 1946, she married Trohman Robinson at the First Presbyterian Church in Dodge City.  He preceded her in death on August 5, 1998.  Wilma and Trohman raised their two sons, Timothy and Troy, in Dodge City.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Dodge City where she served as an elder, a deacon, and sang in the church choir.  Wilma was a 50 year charter member of PEO chapter G.A also of Dodge City.  She served on the advisory board and several other committees at Manor of the Plains.  Wilma was certified with the Kansas Music Teachers Association and the National Guild Society to teach piano which she did for many years.

Wilma is survived by her two sons, Timothy John Robinson and Trohman (Troy) Robinson, II both of Dodge City; cousins, Bob Glass of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, John Fleming of Mineral Pointe, Wisconsin, and Ruth Ellen Herbert of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  She is preceded in death by her husband Trohman; two sisters, Merle Herrington and Margaret Wolfe; and a cousin, Ann Glass.

Memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. with Mr. Barney Korbelik, C.R.E. presiding.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove in Dodge City.  There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.  Friends may sign the book on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Dodge City.  Memorials are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
