Montezuma - Zenaida Bayron, 73, peacefully passed away on August 8, 2019 at SunPorch Nursing Home in Dodge City. She was born on June 7, 1946 in Dapitan City, Philippines, the daughter of Inocencio Eguia Acaylar and Maxima Dagpin.
Zenaida was a school teacher and school administrator in the Philippines before coming to the United States. She was a living example of patience, endurance, and strength. Zenaida survived many challenges calmly and gracefully. She was strong and a fighter. If Zenaida was one thing, it was love. She had it for everybody. It was her answer for everything. She gave it freely in her most special way.
She is survived by her husband, Tarcisio; children, Gina (Troy), Rizza (Arturo, Jr.), Glenn (Dorette) and Hazel (Harvey); daughter-in-law, Anabella; siblings, Azuncion, Felizardo, Erlinda, Ferdinand, Raul, and Gerardo; grandchildren, Kathleen, Reiza Marie, Kathea Reabel, Arturo III, Brazzi, Hanz Crisvie, Karen Ninna, Harzel Zeta, Glendor, Hanryl Dave, Klaire Renbel, Syren, RR, Richard Rene, Gleedo, and Glenna; great grandchildren, Daimie and Zirih Nicole; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Rene, and siblings, Rolando, Arnulfo, Mila, Christopher, and Roseller.
The family wishes to sincerely thank all of those who care for her during her most difficult times and last days and also to all who have expressed sympathy and shown acts of kindness to our "Miss", "Nana", "Aida", "Manay", and "Lolai". She will be dearly missed and forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
Vigil Service will be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dodge City on Monday, August 12, 2019 at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Wesley Schawe presiding. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Dodge City on Monday, August 12, 2019 from noon to 5:00 PM. Cremation will follow the mass and burial will be at a later date in the Philippines.
