DODGE CITY - Marilyn Weber, 74, died August 11, 2021 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City. She was born on July 17, 1947 at Dodge City, the daughter of W.A. and Mildred (Worford) Stephens.
Marilyn was born and raised in Dodge City and was a graduate of Dodge City Senior High School. On October 28, 1967 she married Duane Weber at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Dodge City. A lifetime resident of Dodge City Marilyn was a secretary for Sacred Heart Cathedral for 10 years. She along with her husband owned and operated Flowers by Irene from 1990 to 1998 and most recently was a night assistant at Swaim Funeral Chapel for the past several years.
Marilyn was an avid bowler and was on a league bowling team for over 50 years. Every summer was a fun summer where the Sand Pit "Water Sports" was home and Beaver Lake was vacation. Marilyn loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and was the glue that held the family together.
She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the Daughters of Isabella, and Soroptimist International.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Sandy Krout and husband Kyle of Minneola; son, Michael Weber and wife Marsha of Dodge City; and a foster program son from St. Mary of the Plains College, Stephen Triggs of Godley, Texas; five grandchildren, Georgina Gall of Bentonville, Arkansas, Whitney Roberts and husband Preston of Dodge City, Ty Weber of Dodge City, Lexie Gall of Minneola, and Payton Weber of Dodge City; sister, Marcia King and husband Dick of Larned; two sister-in-laws, Marilyn Rosati and husband Peter and Delores Mull and husband Bill both of Wichita; and a brother-in-law, Dale Weber and wife Michelle of Orlando, Florida; one niece and six nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and Husband, Duane Weber.
Celebration of Life and Remembrance will be at 7:00PM on Monday, August 16, 2021 at Swaim Funeral Chapel, where you can share stories of Marilyn with the family. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 10:30 AM. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Monday, August 16, 2021 from Noon to 7:00 PM with a Rosary at 4:00 PM on Monday.
